No service for Platinum Membe

My car has a flat battery. Since 7am this morning I tried the '24 hour support' call centre but the option only takes you into an endless loop of "invalid number". On the medical emergency option I got a number for the head office - - - which only works business hours. After 8 got through to a person but supervisor and managers are all busy. I call again and explain situation and that their 24 hr does not work. The "system" says my membership had expired. Yet I upgraded to the Platinum plan and added my wifes car about a month ago. They will check their records and call back. Within minutes I get an sms to say welcome to the club - my membership is active! A tow truck company phones but I explain there is no one at home now.
Whole day I was at work and could not attend to the car with flat battery.
So at 17h30 I call the 24 hr number again - - - still not working!!
I've now also logged a complaint on their website but that is not helping me moving my dead car from the driveway into safety.
So if there is anyone out there thinking of joining the club - - - think again and consider AA.
