Terrible Service

After visiting the used car show room and picking a vehicle, i told the sales person that I will take the vehicle and that he must keep it for me. We proceeded by him contacting my banker to apply for finance for the vehicle. We got confirmation that finance was approved and I asked the sales person to invoice the vehicle and fax me a copy of the log book so that I can sort out insurance for the vehicle. The next day he phones me and says that the vehicle has been sold to someone else.

When I went there the salesman and manager both said that this thing happens and That there is nothing that they can do. They apologised but that was it. As far as I'm concerned the requirements for a valid contract was met and they were in breach of that contract by selling the vehicle to someone else. The vehicle should have been taken off the listing once the dealership received the email from my bank saying that the finance was approved.
