I travel a lot and have used AVIS since 2011. I love their service. OR Tambo Branch has changed my view on AVIS as it didn't have the correct staff to inspect the car before I left the branch as well as inspecting the car after I arrived to return the car. I'm not greeted as a client but more so as a bother. I am also being charged for damage to the car that was already noted by their staff before I left, but was not recorded in their vehicle reports.
I am an AVIS FIRST MEMBER traveling in South Africa and am very appalled at the fact that even after I had to rent ANOTHER car to accommodate my business trip, because no other rental company had cars available, I still had to show their staff other damages to the new car that have not been previously recorded by them. Not only am I showing the staff member how to do their job I am now being charged for an ERROR they made by not accurately pointing out all the damages.
I will not recommend AVIS for international travelers coming into the country anymore, as I will be putting them in the same situation and feeling very unsatisfied and unhappy visiting this beautiful country.
