My Mercedes 220 CDI went in for Service Thursday 31 January 2013. At about 11:00 in the morning I was phoned with a quote and explanation of about R22 000's of work and parts, which I obviously questioned. I only received feedback at about 3 in the afternoon, so obviously my car had to stay for another day. I must say getting detailed explanation and or description for the major problem was very difficult, in fact I still don't have something that will explain the detail to somebody like me not really understanding cars. But that was not what really upset me. I collected the car Friday afternoon at about 4:30 and left just after 5, still in shock about the huge account. About 500 meters from the dealership, I pressed the button to look at my historic data in terms of kilometres and fuel consumption. The history was cleared but the last trip showed 26km done at a consumption of 18.9 litres per 100 km's. I immediately left messages, many of them, but until today no response. Natasha kept on promising me that Juan will phone me Monday morning - still nothing.
