RENAULT SOUTH AFRICA
Warranty claim

Cars & Transport

I have been to Renault Tyger Valley on 15 December 2025 to replace my front drivers side regulator and motor for the window, as I could not use my window. I was told that they would source the part and let me know. They then removed the regulator and motor and replaced it with a wooden plank and a screwdriver in order to keep the window up. The next day I was called to say that they could not locate the part but will let me know as soon as it arrives. This meant that the claim was put through in order to locate and replace the part, acvording to me. I travelled from Cape Town to Johannesburg on 18 December, with the window as they left it. I called a few times but did not get through. I eventually got through on 18 February, when I was told by a lady in the service department that she checked on their system and that they are still awaiting the part and would contact me. I waited patiently and then decided on 30 March 2026 to drive there in order to find out how far the process is. I was then told that there was never a claim and the whole process has to restart. The claim was declined and I am left with a screwdriver on my window, with nothing settled. I would like to know what the next step is, as according to me, nothing was done and I was left at that. I am attaching a picture of how I had to drive for 3 months and still am. The service department cannot tell me where the defective parts are that were removed by them on 15 December.
