Unavailability of 2010 Subaru Outback Fuel Pump in South Africa

Cars & Transport

Subaru South Africa

There is an unavailability of a 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5 Prem fuel pump in Durban and throughout South Africa. According to Errol from Emond Auto, the part is not even available in Japan! How is this possible? The worst part is that I am stranded with no transport. Errol has been most helpful during this episode.

I am expected to pay for the part upfront before it is ordered, an amount of R8630.84 plus VAT of R1294.63, totaling R9925.47. Then I am expected to wait at least three weeks or more for delivery.

The Outback is my second Subaru, the first being a Subaru Impreza Sportwagon 2.5, which was an exceptional drive. The Outback has served me without hassles, except for this real headache. At 79 years of age, this is not acceptable!
