Back window defect

Cars & Transport

Bought a car from Chery Edenvale (Imperial Select) in Sept 2012. The original car purchased was a Cherry QQ which gave problems from the first day of delivery. It was returned to the dealer who gave us a loan car which we then made a deal to keep the car and which we had to pay in a difference of money, which was done. Once again we took ownership in October 2012 and also had minor problems which were dealt with. However, the dealer failed to inform me that the back windows did not work and we only discovered this last week. When we contacted the dealer who referred this complaint to his regional manager, Louis Fouche, he was told that they were not going to fix the problem and they were not going to absorb the costs of this problem which apparently has the wrong console fitted. I then called Nadine Bloom, the complaints manager who was told the same story and once again Louis Fouche has refused to fix or absorb the costs. I would like to know how a vehicle can be sold with hidden defects and the dealer does not take responsibility to have this rectified.
