Brakes Disconnecting since purchase - warranty up

Ever since I purchased a VW POLO Playa 1.4 HATCH in 2009 the brakes have been disconnecting on contact with bumps in road. i brought this to VW's attention a few times when the unit was still under 3 year warranty & every time they said no fault found. Recently I approached a stop street on a downhill & braked while going over a bump in road & lost brakes completely - I Was so fortunate that no cars were passing as I could not stop at stop street, went right through. This is clearly a huge problem which could result in death. The fact that VW told me this was a normal braking system baffles my mind - clearly no effort used as it is simple to replicate the issue when braking over any sort of bump or gate rail in the road the brakes completely disconnecct - how could this possibly be normal. I know that if I now ask for this to be sorted I will be told to pay although this has been since I bought the vehicle as would be seen on VW's service records reports.
All I ask for is that VW fix this at their own expense as is fair from my report above!!!
