Delivery date never realises

I have ordered a tv through mtn. The order was put through round the 7th of Jan 2014.
When i phoned the jhb call centre (cannot complain about the friendliness of the consultants) i was told the tv will be delivered to PE branch about the 9th of Jan and then delivery to me will take place on the 10th.
The 10th rolled around and no delivery, i phoned again just to at first have no one between PE and Jhb know where the tv is then i got told the freight was full and delivery will definitely take place on the 13th. I was ok with that since it is the day before i start working thus i will be home to accept delivery.
Did not want to take chances so early today (the apparent delivery date) i phoned to make sure now once again nobody knows where the tv is. This is so inconvenient!!
How am i now suppose to ensure where and when someone must be ready to accept the delivery if (a) the delivery dates gets changed every day, meaning i can realistically only expect the delivery in a months time and (b) the courier company themselves do not even know where their parcels are??
