Refuse to repair vehicle (26 days after purchase)

I bought a second hand vehicle from a dealership (Kolev Motors 011 609 6176) on 04.12.2013. I asked prominently if the cambelt was changed, they answered yes. The vehicle broke down on 30.12.2013 (26 days after I bought it). While standing next to the road, I phoned the dealership to confirm what they can do to assist me. I was told they can do nothing as their workshop is closed due to the festive season and I did not take the additional maintenance plan. I was disappointed as the manager was not concerned about the matter. The maintenance plan is optional and not to protect the dealer from their responsibility to the consumer/buyer. After investigating the benefits of this plan, it would't have covered the full expense of the damage. The car was advertised with full service history however the last few services which was due were not done. I was forced to have the vehicle towed in and investigated to know what the problem is. The cambelt broke and caused a lot of damage to the engine. I phoned the dealership again and was told they can quote me to fix it for which I will have to pay. This shouldn't have happened in the first place. They promised to call me, i received no feedback
