On Fri 20 Dec. I took my car to VW Hatfield in Bryanston - the previous day my ABS light came on and there was a scraping sound from my engine. The repairs were authorised by Motorite, I have a policy with them. After waiting for more than 3 hours, Dayalan advised me that additional damages had been discovered (near the CV joint area). I was given a lift home as they were waiting for authority from Motorite. A few hours later Dayalan phoned to say that the policy did not cover the damage and I had to pay R4500 for the repairs. I phoned Motorite to query this and they claimed the damaged was due to dealer negligence. The dealership has disputed this and on Monday an assessor went physically inspected it and confirmed it was not normal wear and tear. The branch would still not accept responsibility and I then contacted VW Connect to assist with my complaint. 2 full working days have since passed and I have still not had feedback.
