Threw my tyre away

This morning (Thursday 12th December) I took my car to Autoquip to have a repair done to my tyre, which had a nail in it. Sherman said that my tyre could not be repaired and that I would have to have a new tyre, but not just one, both back tyres needed to be new. On my return to the dealership to collect my car, I asked for the rear tyre that did not have a puncture, to be returned to me. I was informed that they threw it away - that a truck had already been in the last 30 minutes to collect the old tyres. I am so furious about this as this was not their property to throw away in the first place. I could have kept that tyre for future use for if and when I get another puncture.
I find this totally unacceptable that they can discard something that does not belong to them. Surely it is standard practise to return tyres that are not damaged.
