Lexus South Africa
NO TYRES IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR LEXUS IS350

Cars & Transport

I experienced a puncture on my Lexus (which I had bought new on 01 October 2013) on 24th December, 2013. Upon enquiring at tyre companies such as Tiger Wheel and Tyre, Super Quick to trepair the puncture I was informed that the damaged tyre could not be repaired but would have to be replaced. I requested a quote for the type of tyre as originally fitted. I was told that this specific tyre was not available in South Africa and would only be avaialble later in January 2014.
I had to commute between my office and home with the car using the emergency wheel. Christmas arrangements as far as transport went out of the window and had to use my wifes little Kia Picanto, what a blow, too small for the trip, no choice we had no option but to use it. I enquired on 27/12/2013 at Lexus Midrand for assistance, please lend me a wheel, New Year is upon us and I have plans and I was planning to go to family. no luck, Lexus Constantia was closed on 27/12/2013.
I had no option but to buy 2 new Michelin tyres for my car, a couple of thousand rands later, just to get going with my Lexus. If the original tyres as fitted were available I would only have needed to buy one new tyre, it has cost me double!
