I was quoted for 2 loads, but after moving big items myself, only one load was taken, no compensation. Truck was 5 hours late, and all I got was a "sorry". I supplied my white leather couch in a cover, cover was removed by staff and couch damaged. Dining table top was put down on bricks, and pushed, scraping my 4 month old sleeper wood table. Items went "missing" during move. The response I got was "that is why I suggest insurance". I never thought I would need insurance for negligence and mess ups from their side. End of the day, I paid R3200 for 2 loads. I only got 1 load, which was 5 hours late, and repair to damaged goods, and replacement of "missing" goods is costing me R15 000 . Avoid Durbanville removals at all cost. It will work out cheaper in the long run. Take out insurance, and look for removal company willing to take responsibility to there stuff ups.
