INSTRUCTED TO COLLECT CAR BUT BRANCH CLOSED

I requested for a car earlier today (07/12/2013) to be picked up from Lanseria Airport at 20h00 and returned on Wednesday, 11/12/2013 at 20h00. I was assured that it would be fine to do so as the Lanseria Airport branch is open 24/7. I called the customer care around 19h00 saying that I would be late and can only reach there at 20h45 to which the agent responded that my reservation held upto six hours so that is fine. I then had someone drive me all the way there to find that the office is closed and there is only the security guard left. Very confused, I called the costumer care and spoke to Dumisani Nkabinde about my plight. He then jotted my cellphone number and told me he will call me right back, and that is the last I heard from him.

For a car rental agency claiming to offer 'the best car rental in South Africa', I have to say this experience has been appalling and very unprofessional. The excuse that 'the system indicates Lanseria Airport to be open 24/7' is not good enough. I have important meetings tomorrow morning and now I cannot attend them solely due to the lack of professionalism displayed by Europcar.
