Fastway Couriers (South Africa)
Unreliable pick-up in JHB

We are a company based in Cape Town. We use Fastway to bring small parcels down from JHB.

The level of service in JHB is pathetic. three times now we have been let down. The first time, we were told that the driver "forgot" (his exact expression) to make the pick up. The next time, a different person said that he dropped his phone in water. The third time, they refused to discuss it with us or to provide any explanation.

This is a prepaid service. their attitude is that they are not interested. Once they have your money, the trouble starts. There is no-one you can speak to and their head office is not responsive either.

A prepaid service operates on the basis of good faith, which they do not seem to understand.

We cannot recommend these people. They are not 100% reliable. Maybe It is time to review our courier situation. Deadlines are too tight for lost phones and bad attitudes. We have submitted numerous complaints to no effect. And they do not take responsibility either. If they miss a pickup, they won't organize a Plan B.
