3 Weeks to Replace a Part with 6 in country

My husband has a Mercedes E250 which started giving trouble last Thursday. On Friday morning he the car gave a message that it should not be driven. He contacted Sandown Motors Northcliff who towed the car. the vents are as follows:
1. The service team committed to looking at the car on Friday and didn't
2. No-one contacted my husband. He had to do all the calling
3. The car was only looked at late on Monday afternoon
4. Still no updates from the service representative
5. Finally after heading down to the dealership he was given the good news that the part needed to be ordered from Germany
6. This part is scheduled to arrive on Christmas day, rendering the car unusable for the duration
7. The dealership has offered no car as a replacement - only once my husband spoke did they say Mercedes SA had no spare cars
8. Today (not believing that this is in fact the case), called another dealership who kindly assisted and came back to say that Mercedes SA has 6 in stock right now.
What utter rubbish is the dealership in Northcliff feeding us. Shocking service for a client who has purchased three cars through them. Shocking service for anyone really. I say buy a BMW.
