I was interested in a second hand vehicle from Raymond Wolstenholme Motors in Goodwood. After settling on a price, the sales person, Marco Stassen, informed me that they wanted some kind of commitment from my side to clinch the deal. No amount was mentioned. I decided on my own to pay over an amount of R4, 400.00 to show my good faith. During the negotiations, one of the requests was that a tow-bar would be fitted. On Monday 28 October 2013 the "OTP" was signed and I paid over the deposit. On Thursday 31 October I cancelled the "OTP". Since then I have been struggling to get my deposit paid back from them. They said that the deposit I paid was used to fit the tow-bar and that it was company policy to pay for all extras upfront. I was never informed of this by the salesman. I decided on my own the amount of the deposit. If I had to pay for the extras upfront surely the salesman would have made sure I pay over the correct amounts needed for the extras. Please be very aware before you sign a deal with this company.
