Sanrose Autobody Repair Centre
Bad Workmanship and Service

Cars & Transport

After a minor rear bumper bashing on or about May 2013, my insurer referred me to SANROSE, for the repairs of my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

On or about June 2013, the vehicle went in for the repairs to the MIDRAND branch and stayed there for approx. 3weeks. When I collected the vehicle, it had various eye-catching imperfections and signs of bad workmanship, which I pointed out to the workshop manager. He agreed and requested that I leave the vehicle with them for remedial work. However, I paid for the release because I needed it for a long trip and agreed to bring it in at a later date.

However, they never arranged for the remedial repair, although this was promised at initial collection. I then went back to the on-site assessor (John) and showed him these defefects. He agreed that it was bad workmanship and together with the workshop manager, agreed to order a brand new rear bumper, spray it on-site and recall the vehicle to install within one day.

This never happened! They called more than a month later and wanted the vehicle inn for a few days. I refused, because this wasn't the agreement and there was no courtesy vehicle offered to me.

To date, I'm still waiting!
