AUTOMARK HERMANUS EMPTY PROMISE

I decided to buy an second hand Toyota Land Cruiser from an Automark certified dealership "Hermanus Toyota" because i am in Namibia and would rely on their expertise and what Automark stand for. "They, Automark, say that a car is thoroughly inspected so that you know what you are getting, there is no hidden problems and cars that don't pass the test are not going to be sold at all. they also say that if a car cannot be repaired it is rejected from their lot." Apparently you also have 30 Days or 1000 km's to report problems.

The day after delivery i reported to them that the remote for the Central Locking/alarm was not working and that the exhaust was rotten. The vehicle was advertised as having Central locking & alarm. I took the car to another Toyota dealership and they confirmed that the remote can be fixed and that the exhaust silincer must be replaced as it was rusted from the inside

Johan van Zyl, Hermanus Toyota Principle Dealer answer to these two items was that they are not prepared to spend money on the car as the car was sold for a good price. This is completely against what Automark stand for and the reason why i chose to trust an Certified Automark dealership
