REFUSAL TO FIX INDICATOR LIGHTS THAT FELL OFF

Cars & Transport

I bought my first mini cooper from Lyndhurst auto - sales person (Mark Salie). 2 weeks or so after I took delivery of the car, the radio was faulty. The car had to be booked in and the radio "re-installed". Fast forward to a year and 5 months later, driving on the highway, my indicator lights fall off - weirdest thing ever. Weekend after the incident, I drove to Lyndhurst for assistance. BMW South Africa declined to fixing my car because I didn't have proof of the indicator lights falling off (mind you, the service lady saw the scratches on my car as proof that no one had pulled the things of). The manager of the dealership, however, approved the indicators to be sorted out under "goodwill". This approval was then sent to BMW SA, who declined this again becoz the car is still under warranty very confusing and questionable decision making. In the midst of the above, I was contacted and told the parts are ready and I can book my car in, which I did. After the booking, I was then told I would need to pay for the indicator lights becoz I had no proof that they fell off and they can't pay under goodwill. If indicators can just fall off, what else is gonna fall off on the car? not impressed
