Eager to sell but not so eager to repair!

Hi there.

I bought a second hand car from Audi in Pietermaritzburg. Its a 2010 VW Jetta 1.6TDI. With the inspection of the car I noticed that the 4 air vents are broken. So I noted it on the inspection form as Mandla told me to do so and that I must email him on Monday for him to sort it out. The next day I tried to put a cd in that cd player and there seem to be something stuck in the cd player. Mandla said he will get a branch near me to take the car and get it fixed. Well after a struggle from VW Barons in Woodmead they got the order to fix the radio. Now suddenly after Mandla heard what the air vents cost, he said his manager, Venessa, said that they are not going to fix it because Mandla explained to me when I bought the car that the air vents will not be fixed. Mandla never told me anything about the air vents untill I pointed it out and he said I will sort it out for me. Is this how big branded dealerships work these days... sell you a car and then don't want to fix anything. I bought the car from a dealership to avoid these set backs from the everyday private dealerships. I had to replace the wipers because they were torn and not to talk about the so called valet!
