Audi South Africa
Paying for my own gift

Cars & Transport

I recently bought an A5 from the dealership and after some minor communication issues, the deal was done, and I took delivery. The handover was excellent and the sales process for the most part was professional and what I expected from Audi. What I do not understand is that they gave me a USB stick with an AUDI logo as a welcome gift. WIth previous BMW and MINI purchases I have always received a laptop carry bag, roadside breakdown kit, trunk organizer kit, cleaning kit, tog bag etc. In other words useful items which i could use in the car or while driving or whatever, but all were items which were without 'strings attached' for my enjoyment. SO in order to use my USB device I have to BUY a very expensive connector. I think this is kind of thoughtless and sly. I am now sitting with a USB device I don't need and I can't use it in the car to listen to music files, because I have to buy my own very expensive for what it is connecting cable. I would rather have had the connecting cable so that I could use my own USB devices. Its these little details which kind of give BMW the edge boys. Wake up.
