Bumper repair becomes bearing knock

I took my car to dent doctor for a minor bumper scuff repair. Upon receiving the vehicle, I noticed a knock coming from the engine. I immediately called and complained, to which they told me to come back, which I did. I spoke to Deon who acknowledged that there was indeed a knock and told me to call him the next day, so he could drive with me to a friend at VW to figure out what the problem was. I called on both numbers on Deons business card and left a message but he did not call me back. I eventually decided to take it directly to VW, as I could not get hold of Deon. This resulted in over a hundred thousand rands worth of repairs (I have invoices to prove this). Dent doctor refused to accept responsibility for this, even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with my engine when I took it in for repairs. It was fairly obvious to me that the car had been driven by the position of the seats and mirrors, which I dont think a panel beater has much reason to move when repairing a bumper. I find this situation both shocking and unacceptable, resulting in a lot of anguish, upset and unnecesary cost. Totally totally disgusted. Avoid them completely!!! :(
