Cheapie World
Dealer selling faulty cars not complying with cons

Cars & Transport

I bought a second hand vehicle form cheapie world witbank (next to speedy) only to have it break down on me one week after I bought the vehicle cash from the dealership due to engine failure caused by a bearing knock. According to the dealer he informed me of this before I took the car and that he wont accept any responsibility for the repairs. I was however not informed and if I known that it was a bearing knock on the engine, I would not have taken it from him, I am not that stupid.

according to the consumer protection act the dealer was supposed to list all faults in writing and I had to sign to aknwoledge these faults which he hasn't done, leaving me with the damage of over R 10000 to date. Other faults included, leaking water pipes, vacuum pipes not connected, faulty truss bearing etc.

According to the report obtained from the repairer the engine was overhauled shortly before I took the car just to get rid of the knock noise from the bearing and sold to get rid of it.

Please be aware of this dealer and ensure that you don't fall into the same trap. I am busy with legal action against this dealer.
