Faulty Cluste

Cars & Transport

I drive a Scenic II and the cluster is faulty.
A months back I was on holiday in George and the cluster started flickering and switching on and off. I called Renault George and was advised that this can be replaced but I must provide a V.I.N no for availability. I called back and provided a V.I.N no. and was advised that some of the models were recalled because of faulty clusters and my car was one of those. I was advised it will cost R1000 incl labour to replace the cluster and there was no stock in George at the time. I then left George and a week later was called and advised that the part arrived. Too late though and no way I was going to George to replace a cluster. Renault George said they cannot courier the cluster I need to log a call with my local Renault. I called Renault and they advise that the cluster will cost R2268 excl labour. Now I don't see why I should be paying in the first place for a recalled (faulty) unit let alone an extra R1268. I have e-mailed Renault on numerous occasions the last being the 17th of September, it is now the 7th of October and i have yet to recieve ANY communication from renault. email [Email Removed] Exceptional service!!!
