I took my vehicle in on 09/09 for a minor repair. Upon calling later in that week to find out when my car would be ready, I was told there was an automotive strike, which had begun on the day I brought my vehicle in. The excuse given on the phone for the delay was that the shop were not aware of the strike until the day I brought my car in. This highly unlikely, as being close to the automotive industry the company should have an awareness of what is going on. Why was my car sent in for stripping if it could have been returned to me to avoid the inconvenience of not having a vehicle?

I received zero communication from the shop on the status of my car and was told it would take at least 2 weeks when I called. I arranged for a rental during the second week, which I paid for at my own cost. That same day (17/09) I called to find out what was going and was told that my car was ready for collection. I am extremely disgruntled by the fact that I wasted R545.71 on a vehicle for 1.5 days, which could have easily been avoided had there been adequate communication from the shop.

I have filled in both a customer feedback form AND emailed in my complaint, both of which have been ignored!
