I purchased a pre-owned Hyundai i10 in December 2012. The first problems occured when we paid full price for the car instead of the 'special' christmas price we were promised, after charging us a few thousand rand for extras which was marketed to us as inclusive with the price, the sales person paid us back in cash the extra money we were charged. First indicator of poor personel and poor customer service. The car had full service history and we were promised a spare key, 8 months later we still had no spare key and no service history. We phoned Hyundai constantly and spoke to Tienie who is now DP at Hyundai Weltevreden, Ryno and Minette, none if thrm were avsilable when we called three times a day and never returned phone calls. We resorted to Hyundai South Africa consumer complaints, Nadine was the person who attempted to assist us from Hyundai SA's side. It was agreed that my car would go in for its 60 000km service after which the spare key and service history would finally be given to us. After the service, I got the wrong spare key, still waiting for the service history, and my car won't start properly. Another complaint was issued with Hyundai SA, still awaiting a response..
