Big Boy Scooters
Poor repair jo

Cars & Transport

I sent my scooter in for a repair after it failed to start. I arranged with them to collect the bike on 9 September and collected it on 10 September. The problem explained was just that it was an "electrical problem" and no further information supplied. The cost for the repair was R625 for "Sorting out wiring".
On 20 September at 12:30 the bike died on the corner of Scott and Atholl Oaklands road and would not start again. Same problem as before.

I call up the store and ask to speak to the mechanic to hear what the problem was so I can just get it going to get it back to them. He was vague and sounded like he was hiding something because he could not remember and neither could they find the job card. I asked if they would come get the bike they refused saying that it is friday afternoon and they don't go that far out.

When I finally got the bike to a mechanic he found that the repair that was done by Big Boy was that they soldered the coil wire where it burned off. They did not bother to find the reason for the wire burning off nor replacing the actual wire... just soldered it back on. I now paid a total of R900 to fix their mistake. I believe that Big Boy should refund me.
