My Audi A4 broke down in Durban and has been at the Audi for over 2 months now. Initially they said the oil sump had cracked, then an insurance assessor went down & established that it was not cracked, then Audi said that it could be a hairline crack, and now they have changed their mind saying its definitely not a hairline crack. Also Audi have also stated that the car's engine has seized, I now hear from an independent assessor that the engine is running as the car was driven into the work bay for inspection. Audi quoted R95, 000 to fix the car which is extortion, yet they have not even stripped the car to see what is wrong in the engine, how can you quote to fix something when you have no idea of whats actually wrong with the car? Audi have also openly admitted that they don't know what is wrong with the car. I must say that it feels like I am dealing with people that do not know the cars they are working on. Also the customer service one would expect from Audi was certainly poor to non existent. Several phone messages went unanswered, emails not replied to and as I am sitting in JHB and the car is in Durban this does not make the situation any easier. I am bitterly disappointed!
