Still waiting for my deposit after three months

I hired a car from avis on the 14 of june and they took a holding deposit and was told that will get it back 21 day after I returned the the car. returned the car on 20 june an d they debited what I owed that from my account. been there twice since then .was told will get the money within 48 hours but still waiting.
