I have been renting vehicles from Pace for few months now. The original contract stated 200km free pd. A new contract stated only 100km pd. I was travelling in excess of 200km per day. I communicated &because I will rent vehicle for long period, km's will even out. This was agreed & that I don't have to pay additional charges immediately. This month I had additional financial & was not able to pay full rental of R4700. I asked if they can wait few days to pay. I paid R1000 & they have deposit of R2800. I was planning to pay the remaining amount after the 7th. Yesterday I get phone calls that they want to collect vehicle as I am not paying. Usually car rental is paid in arrear -although my contract states in advance. For all intense purposes the R1000 I paid gives me the vehicle at least until the 7th. The owner disables the car, leaving me stranded.they not prepared to wait 2 days. I am without a car to get to work..these people don't care. Ruthless businessmen with no compassion. What has this world come to???
