Changing of spesifications with legal implications

I bought a Toyota Prado in December 2011 and at the time it was rate to have a toeing capacity of 2500kg. Yesterday I received an SMS to inform me that the rating has been changed to 1500kg and I have to confirm that I have read and agree to this.

I think this is uncanny and devious as the vehicle was purchased to tow an existing 4X4 trailer. At the time this was OK now it is illegal to tow it with the same vehicle.
What do I do?
