Not living up to their motto

Cars & Transport

On the 23rd of July 2013, my Renault Clio III was booked for a full service whereby, the 90 000 kilimometre service, cam belt and wiper blades replacement was done. When I fetched the car @ about 15:00 I was told everything on the car is fine and wouldn't have to worry about anything. Only to find out last week when I was going away on business that my wiper blades were not working. I checked them prior checking in the car for the service. And also that there is Oil in the water bottle. I was told to bring in the car on Thursday (That is yesterday) for them to have a look at it to see if they were at fault or was it a mechanical failure. The service advisor called me earlier to inform me that it was not their fault that the wipers are not working as the motor seized by itself after the service and that the thermostat seal is finished and that is a mechanical failure and I have to pay for the mentioned problems to be fixed. I told her that it would be unfair for me to pay as the mentioned problems were not there prior the car was serviced. An hour later she informed that the thermostat sealer is no longer in stock.
