I bought a brand new amarok on 30/07/13, I took the vehicle from eshowe to netstar Gateway on 05/08/13 to fit tracker. Going back to Eshowe later that day, I noticed the temperature had gone up from 90 to110 and the next morning I called VW richardsbay to ask if what happened should be checked. the person at service department advised me to take the vehicle back to netstar to have the tracker unit checked.i took the bakkie back to Durban on 08 August 2013 to have the unit checked and they disconnected the unit and asked me to take it to the nearest vw .i then drove back to Eshowe, the temperature went up again and this time I could not exceed 100km/h. On Monday 12 August 2013 I called vw Newcastle where I bought the bakkie and the person who assisted me advised me to take the bakkie to the nearest dealership, I told the person there that it would be a risk for me to drive over 100 km to the nearest dealership. He the gave me the number to VW-SA to ask for assistance. the car was towed to richardsbay and i was told on 16/08/2013 that what happened to the car is normal and that i have to collect it.i feel vw does not communicate with their clients and they do not offer assistance.
