Watch out for the return time on your contract

I'm sure that Budget are within their rights, and it' s probably covered in all the fine print which you sign when collecting your car, so this is just a warning to anybody thinking of hiring a car from them. Ensure that you put down a return time later than you expect to be back at the airport.
I'd said that I would return the car at 1pm, as my flight was for 2pm, but unfortunately we ran slightly late, partly as a result of putting fuel in so that it would be returned full, so handed back the car at 1.15. For these few minutes, Budget charged us for a full additional day.
To add insult to injury, they even managed to get an additional R50 fuel into the tank!
