Ford cortina v6

I responded to an ad on Gumtree regarding a Ford Cortina V6. The ad states that the Ford was 100% mechanically sound and that the engine, gearbox and diff had been done up, it also said that it was a start up and go vehicle. There was no battery & the fuel tank was unusable. After buying a battery, the vehicle started well and we paid cash for it and drove away. Less than 5km away from the place of sale, the oil and water started mixing and leaking out of the tappet cover. We then had to have the van towed. After stripping the cylinder head, we realised that the engine had not been redone. This is false advertising and although the sale agreement said that I'm buying the vehicle 'as is', the seller still should have disclosed all faults to me, instead of making me think I had a reconditioned engine. I have since then spent over R4500 on spares and towing, which was an unforseen expense for me. I have tried to contact the seller, to no avail. My calls keep getting cut, and this tells me that the seller is aware of what he has done wrong but wont admit it.
