Kia Picanto Purchased from suzuki Umhlanga

Cars & Transport

We purchased a 2011 model Kia Picanto from CMH Suzuki Umhlanga in November 2012. The vehicle mileage at the time was approximately 30000kms. Before purchasing the vehicle, I asked the salesman, Roger Bohnen if the vehicle had any previous accident damage, to which he replied no.

Since taking ownership of the vehicle, the hooter/horn has not worked correctly, the rear view mirror has fallen off leading to the windscreen cracking from a hap hazard repair job, the fender indicator lights have stopped working, the bonnet/hood latch has come apart which led to the bonnet opening whilst driving. I have also been told by a leading panelbeater that the vehicle had been involved in a previous accident

I contacted the dealer principal who stated that the mirror was wear and tear. He refused to address the previous accident damage as well. The salesman and his manager who attended to us have since left the dealership.

If the dealership is not prepared to take this vehicle back for a full refund, we request that the windscreen be replaced, indicator lights, rear view mirror and hooter be repaired as the vehicle is driven daily by my wife and safety if of the utmost importance.
