Envelope lost and they just 'dont know where it is

On 11 July I posted a envelope with important documents to New Zealand via EMS and through the post office. I paid for a 6 day courier service. Since I posted it I tracked it and first it was lying in Aus for a week and then it was sent to NZ but it has not been received by the recipient and EMS cannot tell me where the parcel is. I emailed a query to Monica and she responded twice, after that I sent 4 emails to her and she did not respond to one of them. I left numerous messages with my number but she didn't call back. I also tried the call centre but there was just never answer.
Today I got through and they told me to log a query at the post office but it will take about a month to sort it out. Now I have to resend the documents with another courier company and pay that money again. Wish I read the hello peter complaints about EMS before I sent it with them? Very poor service, or actually - no service.
