13 June 2013 took my car into McCarthy Toyota Kingsmead, noise from brakes. (car was serviced for 10000Km on the 23/04/13.) when i went to fetch the car i was told the rear brakes were adjusted.
the very next day the noise was back -i called in and was told to bring the car back.
given Toyota does not fetch you to fetch your car, they only drop you off in the morning. - this means inconveniencing others and making practically your entire day available for the car. the noise got progressively worse and I was forced to take the car back. this time they fetched me, with a driver that had the worst attitude i have ever seen in the service industry. (19/07/2013).
i was told that there was a problem with the drums, but they did not have spares. When would they get the spares? they did not know - surely when you ordering you would ask about your delivery date. I explained to the consultant that it would be very unsafe to be driving a car with faulty brakes- they should at the very least provide a courtesy car.all she had to say the entire time was sorry -no consultation with the manager. As yet no call from them as when the car will be repaired.what good is a new car with faulty brakes?
