Illegal Drag Racing supporters welcomed

Every single Thursday evening from around 10pm about 40 drivers gather at the Shell Petrol Station on the corner of Samrand Avenue and Rooihuiskraal Weg in Kosmosdal, Midrand.

These drivers then race against each other down Samrand Avenue. I have called the police on numerous occasions but the racers just wait until they leave or bribe them and continue.

This has continued for more than a year now and I approached the owner for assistance in this regard. As the criminals gather on what is essentially Shell property I was hoping he could assist. Much to my disappointment the owner regards them as paying customers and is not
" able" to do anything. The noise at night has progresslively gotten worse and now my reason for purchasing a home in a quiet estate is slowly dwindleling.

We all know how hard it is to get police to react in this country so surely a company like Shell would value it's reputation and commitment to society above dome extra cash every Thursday for crisps and chocolates, not to mention the lives at risk week after week?
