Sabre Motors
Sabre Motors damaged my car - refusing to fix it

Cars & Transport

Sabre motors damaged the bonnet of my 2004 Ford Focus when I took the car for service in May 2015. I paid R1 915.66 for the service on 15th May 2013. According to their version, they force opened the bonnet from inside because they could not figure out how to open it. They then agreed to fix the lock after which they put a substitute lock bought from Campbell Locksmith Randburg. They wrote a 1 year warranty for the lock on 15th May 2013 after I had initially refused to accept the car but I only accepted after they gave me a warranty. The bonnet packed on 16th July 2013 and they advised that they will fix it and they needed to get a machine to hoist it so they booked in the car. On the 17th July, they phoned me in the morning to advised that the car is not yet ready because they want to take it to Ford to open it. Later in the afternoon, Dave phoned me to say that they no longer want to fix the car. I went to find out what the problem is and Dave told me that they can't open the bonnet so I have to fix it myself. Sabre motors are now refusing to honour their warranty. I refused to collect the car and I don't know what to do now. - Simbarashe
