Key Moves was responsible for moving me from PTA to CT. They arrived 5 hours late for our appointed pick up time. They arrived days late in Cape Town (over a week late) and my shipment was damaged at a level that I still find unimaginable. Wine bottles from my carefully packed cases. All of my glasses shattered. Soiled, stained & ripped holes in my couch & chair. One whole box went missing that contained kitchen items and family heirlooms which can never be replaced. They gave me someone else's box then made no attempt to find my box (because that would mean calling clients to admit their mistake). I finally tracked down the identity of the box's owner -- and there is no way that she wasn't missing it because it contained her wallet and what looked like a well-worn favourite stuffed animal. Further proof that they did nothing to find her either. All-told, there was over R6, 000 worth of damage to my shipment. My move was in February 2013. It is now July -- 5 months later. Despite my sending weekly e-mails, values of all goods lost, quotes for repair, etc, they now offered me R2, 000 to go away or shut up. They won't even deal with the claim properly. It's criminal!
