Jaguar SA
Cutting down trees

Cars & Transport

I am dismayed at the new monster sized billboard located next to the R21 south of Pretoria, advertising Jaguar, as much for the visual pollution it presents, and the fact that large trees were cut in half in the process of erecting this monstrosity.

Is it asking too much for Jaguar Land Rover to have placed this piece of visual trash somewhere where numerous trees did not have to be cut down, or is the corporate greed to be seen such that anything that may slightly obscure the precious Jaguar Brand has to be destroyed?

I expect a response along the lines of "its not our structure, our advertising agency placed the billboard, we didn't know about the trees, blah, blah, blah..."

This is a brand new structure, it is probably the largest billboard in SA, Jaguar is the first to advertise on it, I am sure site inspections took place by Jaguar Landrover personnel, they must have know about the impact of this billboard on the immediate environment.

I truly find your monster sign truly offensive, and the cutting down of trees to make it more visible disgusting.
