I bought a demo model car from Hyundai East London 2 years ago. It had approx 2000km mileage on it.

I had several problems with the car straight away. I would describe it as a 'dud' as it has so many problems. I was treated so badly by head office and EL staff. JHB was able to get rid of the rattle and today they are replacing the volume controller on the steering wheel which turned out to be broken.

There is still one problem that has never been fixed. I even tried to get them to take the car back originally as the problems started so soon after having it. I wish I had kept track of dates and people - its been a loooong battle.

On the brakes topic, Hyundai's standpoint thus far has been "how can they fix a problem that they cannot find? '.

I have nearly had several accidents with the brakes.

My stand point will always be "this is a safety issue - if you cannot find the problem start replacing things". They wanted to take my car and drive it for a week. I have been through this twice already. Because it is a "sometimes" problem, it never shows up when I am with a Hyundai person. I just want my brakes replaced so that I can feel safe when I drive.
