Charged a diffrent rate to what was quoted

I made a telephonic reservation for car hire with Budget car hire, Pomona branch on the 31 May. I asked Xolani to give me a rate for 29 days and he said he will have to call his manger and get a rate for their "special". He called me back and gave me a flat rate of R4000. I received an invoice today and I'm charged R4811.80, when I enquired a rude woman named Chantel tells me that I signed when I took the car so there is nothing they can do. I tell her that I was quoted telephonically so that has nothing to do with what I signed and that we will have to pull the telephone conversation and she kept saying there's nothing they can do. I ask her to tell her manager to call me so I can explain my enquiry, the Taffy calls and repeats the same thing Chantel said and s/he says she can't help me. Mind you the Chantel woman said they do not have telephone recordings - how convenient??? Why do they have the option to do TELEPHONIC reservations if you can not trace TELEPHONIC conversations? I know I signed for the car when I took it, the point is that TELEPHONICALLY I was charged a different rate and I'm going to involve MTN to pull the conversation if I have to.
