BEWARE OF AVIS!

Car hire booked 8/6 for 11/6, on arrival they wanted r1057 deposit which was not mentioned anywhere on the full page of terms on the booking voucher, i offered them cash but they said they cannot take cash so they cancelled the hire. TWO DAYS later on 13/6 they debited my card with the r266 hire charge. it took TWO WEEKS of cajoling, filling in forms and threatening further action, to get a refund on a debit that was their error in the first place! It took a week to even get a payment made! On top of which they never apologised despite my additional cost of r280 in taxi fares.avis represent the lowest level of customer service bordering on dishonesty. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!
