First National Battery
Impossible to use warranty

Cars & Transport

I bought a battery from Battery Centre in April 2011 and chose the model with a 3 year warranty which obviously came at a premium. A few weeks ago this battery stopped working and I took it back to be tested. The tests confirmed that the battery is no longer usable. Upon enquiring on the warranty I was told that the warranty is only valid if I have the original invoice. I believe that this is an unreasonable practice since it makes it very difficult to make use of the warranty. On top of that, surely Battery Centre as a business needs to retain copies of invoices - why can they not source the invoice on behalf of the client? This would be a much fairer and more client centric approach. I would like to be refunded for the price of the new battery based on the warranty that was bought.
