Engine failure after turbo installation

After reading in the Leisure Wheels about the turbo conversion on a Hilux I contacted them about a conversion on my Triton. The conversion was done and after three months the engine failed. The vehicle was send back to ALB on the owners cost and at a cost of R10 000 the pistons was ceramic coated.

The vehicle was driven to Cape Town and when driving the vehicle back to Springbok the engine failed again. ALB was contacted and the owner wanted the cnversion removed and his money given back. ALB wanted to repaired the engine again but after the previous incident the owner did not trust them. All of this happened during the 20 000km and 6 months guarentee that the vehicle had.

The vehicle was returned to stock and when the conversion was removed it showed the poor workmanship. Brackets were cut off with grinders and the engine knock sensor was also damaged.

ALB Performance is not a company that provide decent and ruined a 2 year old vehicle with 40 000km on the clock
