NISSAN South Africa - shocking

Cars & Transport

I currently drive a Nissan Navara and my wheel bearing seized on me. I managed to get the vehicle to a mechanical workshop, ordered the wheel bearing from Nissan dealership (no stock). I now require the wheel bearing but no-one can assist me as Nissan South Africa is upgrading their system and is currently off line and will resume business on Friday 21 June 2013, only then can the dealer check stock, place the order and if Nissan South Africa has stock, I should have the spare part in 1 - 2 days after order placement. My gripe is that my vehicle is currently on a ramp and not on the road and after calling the call centre (0800 NISSAN) there std comment is "We understand your frustration and will get back to you". They do not get back to you, I must phone them!!!
I bought a Nissan thinking I was buying into a reputable brand and that their back up service and spare parts availability would be top notch! How wrong was I!
Another gripe is that the wheel bearing is only available from the agents and @ a price of... wait for it... R7448.16 (SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT RAND AND SIXTEEN CENTS), yes folks for a wheel bearing. Think its time for a change!
